What Ventra provides
Ventra is a free service. We compare the details you give us with the requirements published by clinical studies and tell you when a study near you appears to fit. We do not run research, provide health care, give medical advice or choose who joins a study. Every study is the responsibility of its own investigators and sponsor.
A match is information about a study you might wish to ask about. It is not a referral, a diagnosis, advice to take any treatment, or an indication that a study will accept you.
Information on this site
Our guides and area pages describe research in general. They do not account for your own health. Talk to a qualified health professional before starting, stopping or changing a treatment, or making any decision about your care.
Signing up
When you sign up you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the details you provide are yours and correct. You can change them by replying to any of our emails, and you can ask us to close your sign-up at any time.
Text messages
The sign-up page has one text message box. If you check it, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Ventra Research Center, including marketing messages, about research studies near you in the area you chose and about your sign-up, which may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system. Consent is not a condition of purchase or service, or of taking part in any study. Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and cancel; you will receive a single confirmation and no further messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Links to other sites
Some pages link to sites we do not operate, including the ClinicalTrials.gov registry. We link to them because they are useful, but we are not responsible for what they publish or how they treat your information.
Limits on our responsibility
Studies open, change and close without warning, and their listings are not always complete. We take care with the information we send, but we cannot warrant that it is accurate or up to date. To the extent the law allows, Ventra accepts no liability for loss arising from your use of the site or from any decision about taking part in a study.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site after a change means the new version applies.
